I gave it a high rating because first of all, it's well written and fun to read. Angela Bowie does describe things to make me feel like I was there. She doesn't short-change Bowie, when she could have just entirely made the book about herself. Also, she does glorify him, something an ex-wife is not expected to do, but she does, with only a few cracks in her story the remind you she's an ex-wife. And about the author herself, though conceited, she does write and storytell in such a way that enables you to like her making the entire book tolerable.
